«Green You Hope For Green Tomorrows»
Throughout history, people have constantly affected or been affected by the environment. Being more sensitive is crucial to leaving a habitable world for future generations. The impact of humankind on the emergence of environmental problems is an unavoidable reality.
The Polish government has announced the National Energy and Climate Plan for the period 2021-2030, which sets out Poland’s ambitions to combat climate change. As a responsible member of the European Union, Poland will continue to fulfill all the commitments made by the Community to implement the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. Poland sets a national target of improving the energy efficiency of primary energy consumption by 23% by 2030.
The policy takes into account the scale of the challenge of adapting the national economy to EU policy considerations related to the 2030 climate and energy targets, the European Green Strategy, and the Lisbon Strategy. The policy also considers the 2030 climate and energy targets, the European Green Deal, the COVID pandemic recovery plan, and the pursuit of climate neutrality in line with national capabilities as a contribution to the Paris Agreement (POLAND’S ENERGY POLICY UNTIL 2040).
However, the role of national governments in preventing climate change is important, as citizens have responsibilities to overcome the problem. Adults in particular have greater responsibilities and duties in the fight against climate
change.
The main objective of the project is to raise awareness among adults and find solutions to human-induced climate change, which causes serious problems worldwide. In light of this goal, our objectives are as follows:
- Promote environmental protection and conservation. One of our horizontal priorities is «ENVIRONMENT AND FIGHT AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE.» So, with the first objective of our project, we aim to address this horizontal priority.
- Promote awareness among adults about cleaner energy sources and the use of modern equipment and technologies instead of those considered harmful. One of our priorities is «ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE CHANGE» and «ENERGY AND RESOURCES.» With this project, we will draw attention to climate change and promote adult awareness about renewable energy sources.
- Helping organizations create a European network to work together, especially for the newly arrived applicant
- Helping adults acquire a set of values for environmental protection and become more respectful citizens. One of our priorities is «Creating and promoting learning opportunities for all citizens and generations.»
With the specific objective of the project, we aim to achieve this priority. We engage adults in the topic of climate change, as they are actively involved in the economy and social life.
The result of our project is the E-BOOKLET.
We will compile all the project activities and BITE LESSONS on the importance of using renewable energy, the negative impact of climate change on the Earth, and what adults can do in their daily lives to combat climate change.
